How to say to my manager that I am leaving in two weeks in a good way without hurting my relationship with him? Also in Qualcomm, we have matrix structure, a line manager and a team lead, to whom should I talk first?
what is with these dumb resignation questions it’s not that hard. tell them privately, keep it vague, afterward email your notice which should have your last day listed
Yeah its pretty simple if the company doesnt care to lose you. On the contrary, it can be awkward
Can you have a simple example of what to say in this private conversation
Just say hey I'm putting in my two weeks notice, for x reason, or just say I'm moving on for my personal and professional development. You aren't obligated to provide a sufficient reason but if you want to keep it cordial just be honest and upfront.
Giving notice is the best way to avoid burning a bridge. Dont crap all over the company or job if they ask why you're leaving.
Make up a personal reason or say its a better opportunity (which it must be :)). Be polite and respectful.
Who cares? Make it sweet and short..
Just say I want to try something new and found a position outside the company which aligns with my career ambitions.
Schedule a 1:1 with your line management and tell him you are moving on and that your last date will be approx 2 weeks from today. Then go talk to your teh lead and tell hik the same. Afterwards, find your HR contact on ph and send an email to him cc’ing your line and tech leads saying you are putting in your 2 weeks notice as talked earlier. Done
Tell him the truth on why you are leaving
