I have an interview with Quora recruiter in a few days. I have to tell her a expected salary amount. I have applied for a Remote Software Engineer role. How much should I expect from Quora? Is yearly 50000 USD too much for a remote role? I have 1 YOE. I’m outside of USA. #Quora #remote #salary #engineering #software
Yeah, definitely too low. US pay range for a SWE role would be minimum 130k base + equity. Start there.
If you were in the US, then that would be too low even for a remote position. But if you’re outside the US then I’m not sure. Talk with the recruitert
OP, I think it will be adjusted to your local market TCs. Are you in India? Do update us when you get the offer.
How does this work? Does Quora hire you as an employee in your home country or is it contractual work? On website they say remote job can be anywhere in the world. They can't possibly have legal/HR to hire anywhere!
They are hiring from all over the world. I have been invited for interview for a full time position. They have a few recruiters in USA who are hiring from all over the world.
Sounds interesting! I understand that you can work from anywhere but you would have to employed in a single country. Can this country be anywhere? On their LinkedIn profile, I see US & Buenos Aires, argentina as options. Is the full time position as an employee or as a contractual worker? The latter makes it easy to pay you in any country while hiring an employee in a random country is harder
Did you receive an offer from Quora? What are the terms - location/salary?
OP did you have to take Code Signal?
No, that is very low. Just ask for the relevant US pay range as a starting point.
