Quora announced today that it's laying off people. https://www.google.com/amp/s/techcrunch.com/2020/01/23/layoffs-hit-qa-startup-quora/amp/ What percentage of people are getting laid off? What functions are affected? How do surviving employees feel about the company now?

Underrated comment
TripAdvisor, stubhub, 23andme, Mozilla, eBay, DigitalOcean, Intel and now quora... lot of layoffs recently #tech
I'm actually surprised that this layoff is coming very late. It's the risk of joining startups.
Next could be cruise
Cruise has deep pocket: 7.5B to burn. Layoff might happen because of overhirings though, we are hiring too fast
This is honestly why engineering nerds should not be CEO of a company. Quora needs a natural CEO to take over
Gates and Zuck were eng nerds too and they did really well. Netflix CEO is engineering nerd, and so are Bezos and Musk. What are you talking about? I’d always prefer working for CEOs with eng background, heavy tech focus and respect for craftsmanship, even with risk of losing job than working for some salesman.
Pichai is the king of nerds and is killing it.
Wonder if Quora engineers are still the beasts they used to be
Trump666 cmon seriously!! How can you not be more direct with that handle 🤣. Nope blacks and Indians cannot help. Meritocracy and talent without eco chamber saves . You don’t wanna a company of bunch of white boy bands
Feel sorry for them, they once got best engineering talent in the valley
What do you think went wrong?
