Hi Blind i want to get into NFL, i saw good amount of matches last year but i still don't understand it like i do soccer. Can't follow the pre-game commentary or analysis. So far what i know: - get 4 tries to move the ball every 10 yards - 6 pts for TD - 1 extra pt after the td for kick and 2 for another td - 3 pts for fg - tom brady is goat, i liked seattles attack, that running back in Tennessee, aaron rodgers had smart plays. Kansas are favorites and has probably best team again. #misc #nfl
Your understanding is just fine. Know also that very few players play both offense and defense; American football has become a game of specialists. Also, no one says "matches"; it's always "games".
The dudes in the stripped shirts are horrible
Haha
Start playing madden and you’ll pick up in no time.
I tried this coz fifa taught me a lot but it's not that interesting
Running the clock , time outs , turn overs these are few more things you can read about
I know about turn overs and time outs but i Don't clearly understand the 2 clocks always. Like i know when a player steps out of field the big clock stops so it's a game strategy when less time is left in 4q.
there’s one man in sports you don’t bet against and that’s THOMAS EDWARD PATRICK BRADY JUNIOR
hello skip bayless?
Just remember one thing: when you cheer for a team you are just cherring their uniforms. The people inside those are irrelevant. They will be bought and sold to different teams. The game will get a lot more fun if you just imagine a bunch of empty uniforms running around.
Ya i can certainly relate to that after the 2 greatest players in soccer changing their clubs this year. It's a business and a job for athletes
True but also imagine there is no such thing as national team. So in soccer or cricket you will still see them under a common banner again but in NFL, the minute they change uniforms they are now our enemies and there is no going back on it.
That's pretty much all there is.
Offense can either run or pass. Defense either assigns by man on man (man), or areas (zone). When many defenders rush the quarterback, it’s called a blitz. Offensive positions are split into the line (around 5 people), the backs (behind the line), and the receivers far on the outside. Quarterback receives the ball from the line, who decides either to throw it to the receivers or hand it to the running back who runs the ball through the line. Defense positions are split into the line (3-4), the linebackers (3-4) behind the line, and the secondary who are far outside and far back. Typically: *O-line and D-line face each other. *linebackers and the running back face each other *wide receivers and secondary face each other. It’s a war game with individual matchups at different levels. Complicated but beautiful game when you understand it. It takes a while to learn the rules, give it 3-6 months to get the basics
Thanks

Donald Trump has become America’s first felon president.
That's a good starting point. Keep exposing yourself to more content and you'll get the hang of it all.
Ok gotcha, do you support any team? What made u support them?
I'm a foreigner that moved to the US years ago. I decided to support my local state team just because of where I moved to. I grew up watching and playing soccer, and just by watching games and ESPN/NFL network I was able to pick up on the talk. If you like sports, you'll have a decent understanding in no time. Just don't worry about all the BS stats that comes with the NFL.
