I am looking to send my kids to an elite boarding school. Main criteria is education quality, students with trust funds and top notch athletics. I have B.Tech from BITS Goa and it was sausage fest with typical nerds. I am hoping to send kids to a boarding school without such an atmosphere so they can grow up to be cool later on in life. They should eventually join fraternity, finals clubs or eating clubs. Thanks
What has your less than stellar college experience have anything to do with which boarding school your child needs to attend? Stop projecting your wants on your child. Help them grow to be their own person.
phillips andover or phillips exeter
This - Andover, Exeter plus Choate Rosemary Hall, Lawrenceville and Groton.
None of these will make OPs kid “cool” though which seems to be what he wants
Boarding schools suck - good choice if you hate your kid
I went to a girls boarding school, had a great experience and made lifelong friends.
Is that why are you are Bi?
If you actually care about your kids success, move your career to a location with excellent schools (whether public or private) and have them attend those and come home daily. If you must remain in the bay, send them to Harker.
I see Harker fee double compared to other private schools like Challenger. What are the major differences?
Wife and I both went to different HYSPM. Harker grads were far and away the most common Bay Area folks
Exeter, Groton, Andover, Deerfield
US army
Almost unironically
Gurukool I heard Amitabh Bachhan is the headmaster
Aim to do their undergrad in the US. That's the biggest factor. IB board in India, do the ECs, SAT and whatever else is required. Save your money. Wasting money pre-12 is pointless.
Boarding school as in your kids live there? Why? You will miss out on the kids growth!
