Greetings, I am born in the Philippines and have been working in GS in Hong Kong for 3+ years now. I am currently looking at opportunities in the US (inside or outside GS). I just got promoted to VP recently so I think L1 path is now also feasible in addition to H1-B. I have no masters degree but the EB-3 Priority Date is current for Filipinos so it doesn't look bad (?) Any horror stories from Priority Dates backsliding? https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-bulletin/2021/visa-bulletin-for-january-2021.html Also, some questions to GS folks: Does GS apply for GC immediately for L1 transfers? I read somewhere that Goldman does not file GC's immediately for H1-B folks so I'm wondering if that is also the case for someone who has already worked 3 years at a non-US office. Pros and Cons of L1: + No need to switch companies + No need for lottery - Tied to GS Pros and Cons of H1-B: + I can switch to other companies - Need to win the lottery TC: 200k USD YoE: 8 Age: 29 Location: Hong Kong #workvisa #h1b Which do you think between H1-B and L-1 is better in terms of waiting time, peace of mind, etc.? Thank you for your help

Job market is brutal for SWEs 🥲
Get them to file L-1 and then gc and then you’ll get it pretty soon and then gtfo wherever you want. Job hunts going to be easier too once you have gc
Thank you.
