Why Worshipping Lord Ram Important in Hinduism?
For a while now I wanted to ask people at Ubi about their latest games. I'm playing the latest Far Cry right now and it's the 3rd game that came out the last two years that feels cheaper than it's previous one. The most extreme case so far was Ghost Recon Breakpoint. How does it work internally? Don't you build the new games somewhat on the same engine? Like, how can it be that all gameplay in FC6 feels less fleshed out than 5? Driving, Riding, Jumping, Running, etc. It all was more fluent and fun in the previous game. Do you always start over or how does this work? Same as why I don't understand why for example Breakpoint felt (and looked) so much cheaper than Wildlands. Did you build the game from scratch? Shouldn't it be just improving instead? This bugs me a lot as I can't look forward to any game anymore. Most new stuff feels worse technology wise than the previous stuff. And I don't mean Gamedesign decisions, just technology wise. Division 2 got this right for example, it's just improved mostly. But with the others, I don't know... Same as I feel most new Ubi games look kind of blurry even on highest specs compared to e.g. Wildlands. I don't get it anymore. #gaming #quality
I thought it was good imo, and the publishing teams I worked with all operated with good intention so not sure
It’s been a while but I’m sure it’s all the same engines still with some iteration. Dunia is the FC engine, snowdrop was for the division. Snowdrop was a newer engine at the time so maybe the codebase was a bit easier to iterate upon. I think FC6 also has ray tracing on the pc? I suppose anytime you add features like that you might end up sacrificing on other platforms/features. Ubisoft also re-uses a lot of the same art assets. Not sure if that answers your question but all those factors might have contributed. But regardless, imo all Ubisoft games are pretty shit - don’t waste your time grinding through a campaign haha.
Currently working in the ubiconnect team so I wouldn't know, but many argue that FC6 is better in terms of graphics and mechanics than FC5
