Anyone has experience with SK Hynix in the US?

Whether as a current/former employee, or a job candidate, customer, business counterpart, would appreciate it if you could share what your impression or experience has been with SK Hynix in the Bay Area. TIA!

If you are not graduate from SKY uni and can’t speak fluent Korean, pls don’t even bother

Business partner/customer. Very old school or at least that's my perception of the culture. May just be the actual world culture the company was born in. One would have a hard time being an employee there unless you were born and raised in Korea.

The former name of Hynix is Hyundai & LG semi

^@Intel Would you mind elaborating a little more about the old school culture? Hierarchical? Slow decision process? Lack of innovation? Rigid?

Intel millenial1 Sep 21, 2022

Hierarchical, even misogynistic, and rigid. Not sure about the decision process timeline, but it felt bureaucratic

Major decisions still decided from Korea HQ. Pay is low, but other perks are nice - good insurance, free meals. Works like a startup, or general Asian work culture.
