I’m currently in MSFT Azure supply chain and it sucks. TC: 140k Yoe: 6
Hey, can you tell me more about the part that sucks? I did the last loop interview to a position in azure SC
Literally building the plane as it flies. Some roles are cool I think I just got back luck in mine.
What about people in general? Any toxic folks at Amazon level?
Would not recommend the move. You have far more opportunities inside of MSFT
Buddy, my advice from past 8 years exp in HPE. Join if you afford to lose anytime job. Becase WFR happens very often. Only less pay candidates will survive. So if they offered market low then join. If not no.
What?
Never heard about this
Trust me work life balance is super fantastic in HPE. For a long term yes.
Strongly agreed
I want a chill job. I’m okay with pay cut.
HPE has a lot of potential for internal mobility and most teams have decent work life balance.
Work life balance and culture is pretty good. You won’t get the ping pong tables and the chef launch but the minute your workday ends you can close you laptop and phone without worrying about anything else.
Not every team/position has good WLB. I have 7 full time jobs, lack of engineers, and bring held responsible for $M or lose my job. Some HPE divisions are managed by horrible execs. I worked 89+ hours last week. Compared to MSFT where you have much less scope and tons of resources at your disposal. I think HOE is going to a shock, unless you get a cushy exec job
Going from anywhere to HP is a bad move
Why? 😳
Because the company has been totally irrelevant for like 15+ years? They’re not even a 2nd tier player in most of fields where they’re trying to compete.
