You will learn a lot at Amazon but it will probably drain you. L4 sde is bottom of the pecking order. If you luck out and get on a good team you could be fine. I enjoyed my time at Amazon quite a bit but I was working way too much and MS has much better benefits for single earner with kids and spouse.

For me, Microsoft was extremely boring and non intuitive, but this led to very easy work and great WLB. I worked remote and averaged working 20 hours a week. My total comp was 130k with a myriad of great benefits. After a year, I then joined Amazon because they offered a 195k TC. And my experience at Amazon was great. The product and team that I worked on was exciting, and had an average WLB as I was working 40 hours a week. At first Amazon was Amazing, it wasn’t the shit hole that everyone else says it is. Until I was re-orged, which is very common, and saw the shitty side of Amazon. With each week I hate Amazon more and more and can’t wait to leave. Since the TC difference for you is just 13k, I would recommend Microsoft.
