I’m interviewing for a senior position at Zuora, I don’t see much information about the company and it’s culture. Does anybody have any insight on how that looks like for software engineers? TC - $170k
Do not recommend.
Can you elaborate? Why? What’s your experience?
Here’s the list from my roommate who was there for 5+ years and who admittedly drank the koolaid too many times. The company mafias in China and India runs the show. You will work long hours to accommodate them. They will not treat you well. The c suite is absentee. The ceo regurgitates the same SE crap over and over. The recent public “expansion” of offerings is a far too late admission that hyper focus on the SE thing was a mistake. The sales teams have been unable to execute anything meaningful, ever. All growth targets have been missed, and revised downward publicly. Engineering management is an ol boys network, and if you’re in you’re in, if not you’re out and will not be treated fairly. Many VPs and directors and team managers are unskilled at people and technical leadership. The stack is a mess of technical debt and bad decisions.
As an ex employee from Indian team Would recommend u stay in Apple or keep trying Zuora would be a massive downgrade If u still desperately want remote work ask them for a huge hike from ur salary for which ur willing to sacrifice ur WLB and learning curve And then choose what’s more important for you That is if they are willing to pay what u have requested
I'm your big fan powpanda. I hope, Ill also get out of zuora soon
I thought, it was a joke 🤣. Really !! How can someone comparing zuora to apple crack apple interview? Or is zuora matching the apple compensation in US. Indian engineer here. Here, compensation is not even average

Why go from apple to Zuora
I’m considering remote positions to move out of HCOL.
