I just realised my RSUs are taxed 50% ish so when, say, 20 RSUs vest I only actually get 10. Looking at Glassdoor, it says Google Software Engineer base = 63k, cash bonus = 9k and stock bonus = 23k. Base = 45% tax rate Cash bonus = 45% tax rate? Stock bonus = 50% tax So you are left with: (0.55*63)+(9*0.45)+(0.5*23)=50.2k net instead of 61.7k net (as I didnt realise RSUs were taxed 50%). And this is in a top tier paying role? W - T - #! :(
Death and taxes. Move to the US and you will get taxed at 25% but go bankrupt from a broken arm.
+1. They charged me $300 for an elbow x Ray and a 5 min chit chat with a quarter-ass doctor (not even half ass)
Why 0.55*63 ? Isn't 0.45*63 ? Just trying to understand your calculation.
Add in rent and bills for 1500 * 12 = 20k And you are now left with 30k in savings per year if you don’t eat. For a 400k flat it will take you 14 years to pay if your pay never goes up. Welcome to the UK. :(
You don’t like the NHS?
Lol
