RTO at JPMC, but I don’t live near an office
Or rather, I don’t live near a *tech* office. I joined JP through an acquisition and they let the remote workers stay remote, but the party is over now and we need to go in 3 days a week in a few months. I don’t live near a tech office though(where all the dev/eng teams are and it seems like they want to keep us out of non-tech offices) and my whole team is out of state, so I’m confused what my options are. Our management claims more details are coming and they don’t know all the details yet. TC 160
They will inform you what to do but its 100% going onsite.
Sorry to hear this, OP. Even though the market is rough right now, you should start looking. RTO and forcing people to move at their own expense will never not be a terrible practice. TC: 105K

I've dealt with this before at JP. It's not likely they'll tell you to live and if there is no office nearby, they'll probably just leave you remote. *But* your name will show up on every RIF list in the future. If you have air cover from your MD, you'll be fine, but if you don't, expect to be let go.
If they used the same consultants as Amazon, you will be “asked” to relocate to a hub or kindly gtfo
