Rant post - NerdWallet recruiting

Can the hiring team at NerdWallet get their shit together ? I was interviewing for a role at NerdWallet, so glad this was just the initial process. A kind blinder reached out to me - telling that the role was already filled and that they were told that by the recruiter and hence weren't interviewing them. After having heard that, I had a quick call with the recruiter, but nothing about position being filled was mentioned on that call. I thought I was still in consideration, and did their take home codility test over the weekend, only to get a standard rejection response from the HR that I am not a good match. All I want to say - you interviewed me, hiring manager wanted to test me, my solution passed all testcases in the take home test, and then your hiring team realizes that I am not a good match. How does that even make sense? #frustrated #wasteoftime So glad this wasn't far into the interviewing process. Seems to me like this newly hired recruiter wasn't in sync with the hiring team for some reason. Wondering this is a one off or happens all the time when interviewing with NerdWallet ? #interviewing
