Please help rate my offer. I was offered a fulltime position at Uber as part of the acquisition but I also have 3 offers from other companies currently in consideration. Uber’s offer is the lowest (same as my current Postmates comp). I’m factoring TC and brand recognition of the company for any decision. Which makes sense? Do you think it’s better to have Uber on my resume (ie, does it have high brand value) or are all the options equivalent in status. The end of Backdoor Roth?!
Personally I don't feel like staying at Uber would be safe. If they consolidate your role with some longtime Uber employee, you'll get laid off.
For what it’s worth, we get double triggered if we get laid off within 2 years
They really mention that at the offer stage? Lol that’s wild
Whats ur role in Airbnb and service now
Operational Management roles
Operations management. Is that close to logistics ?
No wrong choice except Uber lol
Lol
Any one think if COVID spikes again Airbnb will be impacted and potential layoffs? Or have they survived because they have pivoted well
I think the worst of covid is over. Plus we've learnt to adapt and live with it. Airbnb of all places has good leadership so it screw up like Uber or other places
Goddamn operations pays low. I mean no offense to you OP, I mean that is unfair pay for that job because I know a ton of smart people in ops and they really know their shit and make shit happen.
No offence taken. This is good pay in my eyes. Sure the grass is greener elsewhere but I’m happy 😄
Seems pretty good pay for 3 YOE for an operations role. Not everyone can make crazy high SWE TC
Is this in Bay Area?
Yes
ServiceNow product manages ITIL processes... who the f does ITIL? Nothing interesting
Servicenow is much more than ITIL
Just keep in mind that Uber and Airbnb will layoff your first during their next crisis.
Location??
