I’m 36 and at 1.6M. 1.2 of that is cash and stocks. I thought I was doing great but saw a 33 yo post the other day and he had 2.6M. I guess I’m only “ok”. I haven’t lived at home since I was 20. if you aren’t saving 70% of your income or more living with your parents, what are you doing? I stay in India and am 34 and I am worth around 150K USD and I feel I am doing fine. The question you should be asking how much money do you need to retire and not compare your worth with others. That will just lead to greed.
You live with your parents yet you haven’t saved up much? Are they making you pay rent? Where are you spending it all?
I don’t pay rent, I help them with some stuff I’m here thanks to having so many poorly paid jobs also I started working 6 years ago
