Base: $160k Sign on: $118k/$90k RSU: 93 Area: Los Angeles TC: $291k YOE: 3.9 at boring corporate non-prestigious companies I played dumb before the offer, and said I wasn’t sure the pay range since I heard the bands got expanded. She sent me the written offer — but it’s not too late to negotiate right? My only other offer is $130k at Nordstrom. They said they’d try and do a counter offer but it wouldn’t be a match.
Location? That seems pretty good for Seattle external hire. NYC maybe not that much
My bad. Los Angeles.
I’m not sure how much you can negotiate with no counter offer but they should be able to go up to 380 in Seattle without approval. I would ask for that
She mentioned “the average was $275k to $295k in LA” but I’m guessing that’s bull?
LA is lower than seattle(I think) but they should be able to go up by 50-60 without approval
Seattle new band 252-325
It depends on a bunch of things, interview performance, location, competing offer, etc. without a strong competing offer it is hard. You can do another 20-30k base and a bit more on sign on - 320k is doable.
Maybe a dumb question but I’ve never negotiated. But is a written offer letter too late to negotiate?
No it’s not
<4 yrs experience may matter but if you did well in the interview, 350k is easily possible
90k rsu over 4 years?
Lowball
This is lowball. Ask 400k for seattle, 450 for bay area
My bad. Los Angeles. I hear LA has the same bands as seattle?
Not sure. I will let other ppl comment on that. But I guess u r right
