How's the compensation for Reddit staff engineer with 15 yoe ? Heard they don't negotiate. Is it true ?
Yes, I really hope other tech companies don’t follow Reddit and enforce no negotiations. Real bummer the last CEO left a terrible terrible legacy for future applicants
what’s wrong with no negotiation? you know exactly where you stand. as long as it’s true and they don’t make any exceptions.
With no negotiations, how can I get crazy offers that I see here everyday on Blind
It’s good if you believe in Reddit options
Reddit will never be worth anything.
Reddit is the most racist site on the internet, how do they ever expect to sell ads
You're saying that as if we don't already sell a bunch of them...
Looks like that's a pretty good audience these days..
It's shitty pay to work with shitty engineers
Personal experience? Spill the deets!
I dont know exactly, but somewhere between 200k - 450k from what people will admit.
Lol $450k TC for a SWE at Reddit? Hah that made my night.
It’s compensation, not salary
7 years ago I was in their dump of an office in SF and there was this dev who had constructed a camping tent into which he put his desk. This was so he could code in complete darkness.
His coding sessions were in tents
^ I like you.
You can negotiate your level, but not you pay. The pay is tied to level to see past gender and experience bias. You are what you contribute regardless of gender, age, or “I worked at a big company before therefor I know more”
I hear you get paid in karma
*gold*
Nah, they just give silver.
