Hi Blind, I have received an offer from Mentor Graphics for a T9 position (SMTS). Ph.D. + 2 YOE. Base - $170K Bonus - 10% Joining bonus - $17K Retention Bonus - $17K at end of year 1 and year 2. Is this a good offer for Bay Area? #mentorgraphics #cadence #intel #software #engineering #swe #hardware #semiconductor #tech #siemenseda #siemenscompensation #hardware #semiconductor #synopsys
Siemens is ruining the company, I won’t recommend anyone to join unless you don’t have another option. They f**ked up the benefits over the last couple of years. It’s a great retirement environment if that’s what you’re looking for.
Yes for EDA. That’s basically a TC of 204k for the first 2 years (excluding sign-on). That seems to be significantly more than an average PhD+2 gets at SNPS, at least on the EDA side, but I’d say overall as well. Congrats!
Thanks for the insight!
@sudo ‼️: Also note this is a Sr. Member of Technical Staff position. What is the equivalent position in SNPS? What does an SNPS equivalent position for SMTS get in the bay area? Could you give some insight on that please?
