Hi to all blinders, I wanted some help to evaluate an offer I got from Deloitte Strategy and Analytics Group. This is based on East Coast (DC metro area) Position: Manager Salary: 140k Sign-on bonus: 5k Annual bonus (not guaranteed): 23% of annual salary (140k) Is this a fair offer or low for manager position? YOE: 10 MS in Cyber with Top Secret Clearance and several certs (AWS Solutions Architect, CEH, CNDA, Security+, Linux+...) Current TC: 145k annual with 10% 401k match (roughly 160k TC) #deloitte #deloittedigital #salaries #salarycomparison
IMO. It is low for your YOE and credentials in terms of salary. To give you some context, I have 5 YOE at SC level and make 110k + bonus with D
How's the culture at D if you don't mind me asking?
Also, how guaranteed is the annual bonus?
Where do you live now? I’d have expected more of a TC bump switching jobs in general, but I’m wondering if you’ve taken cost of living into account if you’re relocating?
I live in the DC metro area. But current contract I'm on ends by February. So I started to look elsewhere
If you get your bonus fairly, then it is a okayish offer. Also annual bonus means you can't leave them in between without forfeiting your bonus.
With 10 YOE you can easily 1.5x that in big tech, in case you're still looking.
Thanks for your reply. 1.5x is variant on geography. Might be that much on west coast due to higher cost of living, but not so much on east coast. Can you share any more insight as to what companies/jobs are willing to offer 1.5x more of what I'm currently making? Thank you.
I'm located in Chicago and know analytics managers at my office who are making 1.5x of that. Feel free to reach out if you find anything of interest on our website. Uber loves former consultants.
That is not a manager TC. New MBA grads’ base at Deloitte are much higher than $140k.
Thanks for your reply Yolo. May I ask where you get that information? And is it on east coast? I'd understand if it's on west coast due to higher COL
Google, that’s true but your looking at MBA comp, the pay scale if different if you are non MBA, even with a graduate degree
This is extremely low
It is pretty low. I know managers who earn 170k with S&A group
Deloitte Commercial Managers can get $200K+ as salary so this is a solid lowball (Federal may be slightly lower)... also don't sign till they give you $25K-$50K bonus... I got $5K as a Consultant decades ago! The bonus is on a tree so high, you can be assured you will not reach it to the fullest extent ever - case it point, I exceeded my numbers by 20% one year and they said THEY didn't make our numbers (Deloitte didn’t) so they didn't give me the max bonus!! They will find any reason to NOT pay you... Deloitte will make you slog compared to BAH... so be prepared to slog it out... even after client work you are required to work on "initiatives" amd sometimes even on weekends (usually not in Federal, but is true in Commercial practice)... WLB usually sucks with Deloitte! Why would you switch is the pay increase isn't even there and when you can lose WLB?
WLB is what you make it. Sounds like you have trouble telling people no
Pretty darn low
Ask for more sign on. Maybe get a Lockheed or Raytheon offer and negotiate against it. Should be easy with a TS
