Recent Google L5 SWE Salaries
Signed an offer with Google before the freeze with the following numbers: 220 base, 530 stock(with 33,33,… vesting), 30k sign on, 15% yearly bonus in Bay Area with 6 YoE. I am seeing a lot of recent offers with 550+, 600+ for Google L5 Y1 and/or Y2. Have they become more generous? Please share your L5 offers to help the community! #google #meta #swe
They are not the norm. Google does front loader vesting vs 25% vest/year so the first year TC looks bigger than the remaining
Still 550k Y1 even with frontloading is pretty high. Thats why i asked
Can you explain what Y1 and Y2 are? I am not familiar with that but I’m in TM stage after passing the L5 onsite for iOS.
