There's been some buzz and a recent article about the CEO of Nest, Tony Fadell, putting down the engineers from the Dropcam acquisition as "not good as he thought they were." The CEO of Dropcam wrote a medium article in response to the article. What are your thoughts about Nest, the company, and any experiences you've encountered with the company/employees (@Google people)
Fadell looks like an insufferable db.
like a Steve Jobs-esque way? or just in general?
I'm actively trying to meet some nesters to try and learn more before jumping to a conclusion.
how's that been?
the first hire of nest just bailed today
who?
Any updates on nest? I have a close friend who is interviewing there. They look defunct from out here and what the media is saying. What's going on over there?
what position is your friend interviewing for?
Something supply chain related. Not software side.
Nest engineering is laughable. At least from my sample set. Any leader who says such things publicly is just asking for trouble. Won't work for him ever.

What happens when most of your team is Indian?
Leaders take responsibilities. Simple as that. Bashing your own team publicly is uncalled for. Will never work for any company managed by Fadell.
makes sense. I read that Matt Rogers takes the full brunt of responsibility
