Does anyone have a recommendation for a good Salon in the Seattle area (that isnt ProClub or GeneJuarez) that does japanese hair straightening ?
African American salons are the best at flat ironing hair.
There's a place called Moa hair studio in federal way

The end of Backdoor Roth?!
Is that a process or something specific to Japanese hair?
It’s a technique that first gained popularity in Japan (may or may not have been invented there). It is basically a perm except with a flat iron instead of a curling technique. It results in super straight hair, but that can start to look awkward as more grows in unless you keep it up or make another big hair style change. The process “damages” the hair, so further styling is also a bit tricky. There is also a Brazilian hair straightening technique, but it has a lot of the same disadvantages plus consumers these days are extra skeptical about the chemicals involved (Formaldehyde is a key ingredient and a known carcinogen, and not just in the State of California).
