I got an offer from Verizon. I asked my recruiter to send the details via email and he refused. He said he can go over on the phone but can’t send email. I never had this experience before. Is this common in HR Update: When he gave me an offer I told him over the phone that I am expecting another offer. In reality I already have an offer but I wanted to compare and negotiate but probably after knowing that I am expecting, he changed his mind and said he can’t send me an email. What should I do? #Verizon
Never heard of such a thing. Weird as hell.
Not a thing.
Maybe they think you’re not vaxxed
Just a verbal offer right? Why not chat with him on the phone and then email back and reiterate what you talked about?
Yeah. They may not want to send official offer because op could use it to negotiate it
I wanted in writing. And I can do much better negotiation on emails instead in verbal

My guess? He wants you to accept the verbal before sending the offer cause if you decline it goes against his close ratio.
Why do you need an email? Just iterate your comp with him over email or phone, until you two align on numbers. Then ask him to write up the formal offer
I am not as good as in verbal as I am in writing so I prefer in written.
He didn’t want you to take a written offer and then negotiate with other company and leave his offer aside. Simple
What if I won’t respond his calls. Do you think he gonna send an email
Most likely not
my recruiter at MS would not discuss anything related to comp via email. I could ask but they would follow up over the phone. very normal.
Just accept the numbers on the call itself if it matches your expectations and then ask him to send the formal offer letter. HRs generally take approvals after you had the on call discussion. There are possibilities that the numbers he discussed you on call, will not be approved. That's why they don't send on the email before the formal approval.
Sounds like you got duped… no offer to be had. Recruiter is a fraud pretending to be from Verizon
Naa man. He is legit. He is texting from the number and even hiring manager mentioned his name in interview that he gonna reached out. So I am pretty sure it’s not fraud
Most recruiters use email not text to communicate with recruits…
