Do old chats go away or do you keep them too?
Recruiter asked me the same thing after confirming the phone interview date. I said I don't know anyone here as I didn't see a point of having people who can't vouch for my background. But getting a referral for bypassing the ats is a different thing.
What's ats? And the recruiter said it could be anyone and it doesn't have to be professional, you don't think it'll make a difference?
Applicant tracking system. The best a referral from unknown source can do is to get the recruiter to read your resume. Beyond that I don't think it makes a difference unless they can personally vouch for your skills. But I guess it doesn't hurt to have one.
How you will get to Google if you ask such a question!

IRS Warns Thousands of Taxpayers They Could Face Jail Time
Is this when you are post onsite and they want a reference? Can OP or someone shed light on what happens in this stage? For example, what reference could someone on blind who doesn’t know you give about you? Or are references of employees more standardized as in they just check a box whether they’d recommend or not instead of writing long recommendations?
I think they ask how you know the person and you can just say personal, instead of I worked with this person and they're great technically. And no I'm on the first stage for phone screen
