You can feed me all the propaganda and theories but you can’t change my mind that recruiters - well at least 40-50% of them are the absolute scum in tech. Rest 50-60% are good but a huge chunk of them are terrible and I hope karma gets to them. EDIT: based on some comments it’s just like 20-30% are good, all remaining ones are trash and I agree. They just like to brag on dating apps that they work in tEcH rEcRuItInG and mention big names like mEtA, UbER etc. to look cool. TC: $580k at latest stock price #tech
50-60 is an overstatement
Karma already got them. They are recruiters. Pay is crap, you're the first ones to be laid off and your job is to borderline lie to people so they sign on the dotted line.
Agreed. It’s a 30/70 from my experience. 30% are competent and then about 15% are really understanding the hiring team’s requirements and aligning you during the screening process. The remaining 70% of the recruiters are dimwits just chasing KPIs set by there orgs.
True I stand corrected
The good ones are really good. I’ve met with few of them who really went above and beyond. I agree that majority are bad!
My Snap recruiter was the best one I have ever seen. Last on-site round to offer in under a day!
The worst ones are the ones that lie about what an interview round will consist of when they could just say they don’t know.
No actually the worst ones are that lie to you that they haven’t gathered the feedback yet but the fact is they just moved another candidate ahead and keeping you waiting. But they actually do know what they’re doing.
Yoe? Can you elaborate on the original post?
