Single males, how often do you check your mail?
Anyone have any info/tips for the Red Hat SWE interview process? Am interested in applying but don't see many details on Glassdoor.
Question: why do you want to come to RedHat from Amazon ? Ans: if it’s for WLB go ahead , but also be ready to take 1/2 the current TC.
I was asked a LC medium question in DSA round and a design question along with some digging into my open source contributions.
RIP haven't done any open source. Is design OOP or system design style?
I think open source digging was just a conversation starter as I was maintainer at some decent projects. Design was system design. To be specific, I was given the product the team is working on and had to add a feature to it. The problem wasn't too difficult and the interviewer (now team mate) was quite helpful as well.
Other than behavioral questions, I would say there isn't really a standard format or prices for hiring at Red Hat engineering. Each hiring manner or interviewer will do their own thing.
what questions do you have. i can help answer. also be aware that red hat’s wlb is great but their pay is very very low. you’ll likely be getting a significant pay cut coming from amazon. close to half not even joking
Comp's not too important, mostly WLB. It seems like mostly general knowledge questions. Any DS&A or system design? What kind of depth? I'm pretty comfortable with LC. Looking for Raleigh/remote.
red hat doesn’t really ask LC they mostly focus on OOP and design.also my interviewer actually went inside my github profile and did some deep digging so if you add your profile you might be asked about your projects. coming from amazon you’ll be highly favored though. it’s unusually for people from fang to go to red hat so you’ll definitely be asked about that
