Red Hat new grad TC
Hi, I recently got an offer for an internship at Red Hat. Does anyone have experience working at Red Hat? What is the expected TC for a software developer new grad at Red Hat? Also, is it possible to move locations after completion of the internship if I get an offer? Thanks everyone in advance.

If they hire you as a Software Developer, then you can expect $100k and 10% bonus. If they hire you as an associate software developer, you can expect $85-90k and 10% bonus. Don't expect any RSUs
Thanks for your reply! What position does a new grad out of undergraduate usually get? That seems like a fair TC although it is definitely lower than other big companies. Would you say the reputation is pretty good? Like would it open doors for other opportunities?
Red Hat avoids hiring in the bay area AFIK. I know a senior SE who makes $150k in the bay area office where as a SSE in NC/Boston makes ~$125K. That is the reason RH has Westford and Boston as its base Engineering loc. The culture is good although the pay can improve. Join RH if you are ready to take initiative. No one will come to your desk and says this is what needs to be done. But if you are slacker, your peers will get promoted and you will be stagnant. Undergrads usually get ASE and will be promoted to SE after a year. RH is now more of a stepping stone to FAANG among youth.
