TC for Juniper is slightly better than RH. What should I prefer? Mainly looking for from WLB, company environment and future growth perspective. In juniper group is new while RH is stable business for openshift. Thanks
Red Hat for WLB. The pay isn't top notch. But it great culture and good WLB compensates for the pay difference.
I think none of them is worth it since RH is part of IBM. I think both Juniper and IBM are on the decline, mostly counting on acquisitions for a little bit of growth. I used to work at Juniper, wlb was good, pay sucked, stock sucked even more.
What are the offers? Role in JNPR?
Juniper role is SA. Grade 9. 180k base. 20% bonus. May be fine stocks. It's in cloud and orchestration. RH is 160k plus 20% bonus.
Ibm generally matches that kind of difference easily, tell yr HM u want to goto rh but have another offer with <insert numbers>. They'll defn match.
While I'd not want anyone to join ibm, RH is operated completely separate right now and for any ibmers to move there, they have to interview like an external candidate. Second, openshift is basically their equivalent of kubernetes which is new technology and not legacy like you said and that's a good thing. Third, if you're on visa and if RH has consolidated their immigration with ibm then i would avoid. I think they'll match your juniper offer if you tell them. What's your juniper role like?
I was at RH till recently and as far I know immigration processes are separate.
It's SA grade 9 role
I can vouch for Red Hat's WLB. The pay isn't much though, but culture is good and WLB is great
Isn't Red Hat owned by IBM now? Also add a poll.
Yes.
