Applied to a position at Red Hat. Looking for insights and details on the company. Those that work there how’s the wlb, culture, benefits, perks, etc. ? Include why you enjoy working there and other insights as well! #redhat
It is a good company with WLB but poor growth and pay is less relative to peers.
Talking about wlb and culture, it's the best in industry. No kidding.
Its hiring freeze for new positions, but they are still hiring for backfill positions (aka if someone recently left). Has to be same position in the same region as someone who left.
Not really, backfills get 50% of the original position pay, so you really get a half of a backfill
Wlb depends on the team but overall yeah it's pretty good. Everyone always respects your time off and will almost never ask you to work through your PTO or even the weekend. Perks, benefits - not bad. We have a recharge day every quarter (free PTO), bonus is mehhhh especially after layoffs, they can pay up to 5k for education per year, regular health insurance, parental leave is good, and 401k matching is also mehh. I'm happy with my pay but I do hear a lot that it's average for a position. Love working there because the work is exciting, co-workers are equally chill and passionate at the same time, and they really appreciate you if you put in a lot of effort with extra rewards (that can be turned into cash) and recognitions.
Just curious what is our parental leave??
Check out Glassdoor, too. Lots of info there on the impact of the acquisition on culture.
Thanks all for the insights
You get a shit ton of pto
How many days?
4 weeks of normal pto. One recharge day per quarter, a floating holiday, and you get the time between Christmas and new years off for free
Anybody can provide me with a referral at Redhat? I saw a few job openings on Linkedin.

Hiring freeze AFAIK.
Even with jobs they posted, is there an exception for those positions?
Those might be GC positions. Or may be some exceptions.. we have company level hiring freeze..
