Being a dick to your users isn't the best long term strategy
Mods have too much power, not all of them care about users
Yes, please make it easier for communities to remove moderators and take away their ability to turn subreddits private.
Virtue out of necessity. More layoffs coming to Redditt looks like.
He looks like Jeffrey Dahmer
At Reddit’s scale they have to monetize better. Im not saying they’re going about it the right way but its less about greed than people realize.
Reddit has an ARPU of $0.25.. Facebook by comparison is almost $60.
Tbf facebook has an entire platform for hosting ads in non-facebook spaces.
Damn. I think I might legitimately leave Reddit. I was gone for 2 days and it just doesn’t feel great being back. The only thing that sucks is Reddit is a great source of information and I just don’t know where else to get that.
This is the same dilemma I have. Sure, I’d gladly leave, but where to? Reddit has so much knowledge and information within it that there is really nothing that compares to it.
It’d probably have to be a situation where we use 2 platforms at the same time.. Reddit and then an alternative where knowledge/engagement is built. Then once the alternative is satisfactory just pull the plug from Reddit. That’s a long term solution tho. I can’t think of any quick fixes
Say whatever the official app sux I ain't installing that POS
Both forgot to realize the only value the platform has is its users, and they want to drive them away
Naw. Just the lonely power hungry mods.
Its crazy how mods cant do literally anything without being accused of being "power hungry". Legitimately cant even breathe on the website without being told theyre abusing their power
Non tech staff shouldn’t outnumber tech staff by more than 2:1
Depends on your business, but for Reddit, yeah I agree they are probably top-heavy.
Can we all just delete our data and quit Reddit. Let’s see how it goes for them after that
