400k for new grad? Ok...
Someone reported 400K for the first year
I mentioned in a comment above that it is definitely possible for quant firms. Not surprising at all
Are these inflated just like blind?
I’m coming out of school and most of my offers in NYC are 75k-85k as base.
Which school ?
Bloc.io’s year long full-time software engineering apprenticeship. Think of it as an applied CS BS in a year. The program was wound down to a 6 mo program to make it more profitable. They cut a lot of CS curriculum sadly. I’ve learned everything from VM/Compilers to Data Structures/Algos. I just don’t have a CS BS but it’s fine once I’ve actually gotten an interview. I’ll be fine once we’re a few years in though. I have a fraction of the debt. The work experience will give me leverage to work up the pay scale to catchup on overall career earnings.
Know a new grad that get 350k rsu at Google. Google TC is flexible and the range is wide. It’s usually just negotiation and luck
Crazy! Recently got an offer with 1 YOE. Couldn't get past 200k RSU. Its crazy how big the range is for new grads.
Salaries just keep on getting higher and higher nowadays lol
