With the inflation getting better and stock market going up, any idea/news on when stripe or Reddit will go IPO ? Thanks
Yes dramatically. https://ycharts.com/indicators/us_inflation_rate#:~:text=US%20Inflation%20Rate%20is%20at,in%20price%20over%20a%20year.
Yes.. Better than 2022. https://www.usinflationcalculator.com/inflation/current-inflation-rates/
Both will crash and burn. Stripe's IPO hype died a while ago. Reddit, no need for explanation
Stripe is undervalued right now. Adyen processes almost equal in low margin segment and they stand at a market cap of $55B. Stripe works in high margin payments and valued at $50B. Both companies are copying each other - think coke and pepsi. We are happy to stay private and soak up the juice until the window opens.
If someone joins stripe now, do they get a descent amount of equity?
Microsoft should buy Reddit to avoid the lawsuits with OpenAI.
Don't forget Databricks - the LLM company that just bought MosaicML for $1.3b
there is no way reddit won't be acquired by a big company... it simply doesn't make money. Even acquired, Reddit will never be a top priority at any big tech either.
Sounds like DOA tbh
