Redmond WA nice place to live with family?

Moving to Seattle ...will be working in Seattle Downtown. Have a family (two kids -- high school and middle school). I don't mind commuting if I can car pool/van pool and scoop. I am considering looking to buy SFH (Single Family Homes) in Redmond WA area, mainly because of good schools. True? any comments?

Kirkland 98033 is where you wanna be. It’s kinda Mountain View of Seattle area.

Kirkland Redmond Bellevue are all nice towns to live on eastside. Redmond is more family oriented while Bellevue and Kirkland are more “happening “

If you work in downtown then live in west Seattle. Redmond is safe for kids, but insanely boring and a long commute.

Boring is good when you have kids.

Redmond has been growing fast (so has housing price). Its school rankings have been rising as well. Except one or two, every school is great. Bellevue Somerset area also has good schools such as New port high school. Bellevue has one lottery school - International school. Redmond has two of such - Tesla and International community. All three are ranked nationally (top 100). If your child qualifies for gift program, Bellevue has gift program till high school at Interlake high school. Redmond has it up to middle school. Bellevue high school has many rich family and another good school along with Mercer Island high school (expensive town). If you don’t mind driving a little more, Sammamish is another good option. All of its schools are 8+ and safest town for family. This city has the highest median household income yet houses are cheaper than Redmond. Eastlake high school is in this town. Issaquah is another good one. Issaquah high school has been climbing up the rankings thanks to addition of Issaquah Highlands (new big urban like town so many young familes working at Amazon and Microsoft).

I'd add that one should consider advanced classes at HS. Interlake (not 100% sure), Inglemore (in Kenmore), and Skyline (Sammamish) offer IB program. Maybe one or two others. Majority offer only AP. Running start available everywhere but one should consider commute to the (community) college - I.e. Bellevue College in Eastgate or CWU in Sammamish.
