Just got 15yr 2.25% with -2165 lender credits. Late last week. Then my current mortgage holder, Chase, sends me a snail mail for 2% -9000 lender credits!! I called and said, how do I sign up?! Figured it was some retention offer as my loan officer already couldnt beat the other deal I had. She said she knew nothing about this new deal... it was automated even though it was from her and referenced a conversation we never had! Ha... she double checked and confirmed it was bogus. Cute.
