Reject an already accepted offer
I need to reject an already accepted offer from PayPal. Any tips? What should I write in the email? TC 180k
Iām guessing you got a better offer. Thereās a few easy outs depending on the scenario. One is if youāre in Seattle and the offer is in the Bay Area then you can say some family stuff came up and you canāt move to the Bay.

Yeah I am thinking the same. āI need to move to LA for personal reasons and as PayPal doesnāt have permanent wfh policy I am unable to join. Even if I join, will have to resign soon as need to move max by the end of October. I would definitely like to consider opportunities in the futureā

Paypal is really good . Iām surprised how you decided to reject the offer . But anyways itās personal preference

Call the recruiter and explain the situation. Be honest and they will understand. Donāt just send an email, shows lack of respect.
I've had a recruiter get really angry at me before for an analogous situation (but not as bad). I thought it was pretty unprofessional, but he seems to be climbing the ladder at the company he works for. Maybe this kind of manipulation works enough that it changes some peoples' minds about reneging.
I did that once, and I booked a meeting face to face to tell them my reasons (pre-covid). Whatever you do, please let us know how it went so people can learn.
If you don't want to be blacklisted, maybe explain over call why you had to reject the offer. And put it on email again, and state that you would love to consider future opportunities.
