Recently applied for a SWE and FDSE Internship at Palantir, didn't even get an interview with this CV.

PS: This CV got me interviews tor internships at Google, Snap and Twitter. (They went well)
Also, I applied for the London office.

How can I improve?

TC: 5k monthly (intern)

Lol, your company had to literally name itself “Reliable Software” for people to believe it.

Haha coz you suck, you are bashing a company now? Either way your RC skills suck. A company name will not change your poor RC skills anyway. Nice try though by changing the topic 😂

Did you really put "CTO" of what basically looks like a side project?

that sounds way more impressive than even an internship at ARM

without details already suggested, reads like a few powerpoint slides were made for a club project. obviously not the case, but maybe you can look at resumes of others, resumes of people at startups. you were correct to ask for critique. good move.

You know looking at your resume it’s pretty hard to put a finger on what you’re good at. And I would recommend to move education in the end. Put education in the beginning only if that’s like Oxford cum laude.

Got it. I don’t know anything about the school OP went to, I assumed it was decent.

Maybe I’ve had it easy because of my brand name school then. I had my education before experience until I had 2 yoe.

He went to a respectable Welsh University with a rich history, but it’s not in top rankings for computer science discipline.
Brand name school definitely helps to get good internship.

Your resume is decent, but that’s just a piece of the puzzle. For example, I submitted my resume to Microsoft careers web site and never heard anything. While I constantly hear recruiters from google, Facebook, amazon, apple, etc on LinkedIn asking to interview me.

Who sees your resume is more important.

Don’t worry about Palantir. Imo they look bad on a resume.

My resume sucks compared to yours except I have way more of a non traditional path (which I guess the recruiter noticed) and got internship interview.. have to do the hackerrank in next 5 days.

Google passed over my resume even with referral. Haven’t heard back from Twitter yet either. It’s all a crap shoot. I never expected to hear back from Palantir, but never got expected to get rejected from flexport or hubspot during resume screen 😂

It’s all crapshoot. I wouldn’t lose sleep over it. I know it is a crappy feeling tho

Went to St. John’s Uni for my bachelors and now at Boston Uni for my masters. The masters and BU name helped me out a shit ton... imo

Where I went for my bachelors is known for pharmacy school (which is what I was doing before), but everything else is worse than dog crap.

I wonder why in education section HSC is mentioned. Does not add much value, when you have added higher degree B. Sc.

There is no guarantee of getting a call at every top company. You simply can't optimize for every job. Intern at Google, and may be you'll get a full time offer at Palatir.

I don't see anything particularly standing out in your resume either.

I just sent you a request to connect with you on LinkedIn 😂

Anyway to answer your original question, your resume is in good shape. Seeing some significant accomplishment (not just good project), like paper in a top conference, coding contest etc would have made me more impressed.

I hear London is a pretty competitive market which is why tech comp is quite a bit lower, you should maybe try the US

Why are you interested in interning/working at palantir? Anything draws you to it specifically?

Be more strategic in your career. This is a great lesson for you and Palantir did you a favor. Know where you want to go and why you want to go there. You're far enough along in school that your future resumes need to demonstrate a path into and through the industry. You appear to have good instincts.
