It’s the same at amazon. Our director moved to Phoenix when the rest of the team is in Seattle
If they are allowing their team to be fully remote then no. If they are supporting any form of RTO (even hybrid) then their ass needs to be be in the office everyday. Otherwise call out their hypocrisy.
