I’m currently at Infosys, been here 2 years. First job out of college in 2020 was Revature, which is like a bootcamp that requires you to work for a client of theirs for 2 years. Nobody else was hiring at the start of the panini, so I took it. Found out after the bootcamp that the client was Infosys. Next thing I knew, hiring ramped up and the stock market went bonkers, and I missed out on all of it because of my contract. Of course, that came and went and things are shrinking now. Contract is finally about to end, and I’m ready to stop being broke. However, I’m in the Chicago suburbs and none of the high-paying jobs seem to be out here, and relocation isn’t really an option unless it’s like $200k+ TC, which I feel isn’t realistic. Are any of the bigger tech companies still doing remote? Current TC: 66k

Arent there local Chicago firms you can aim for? Is it sponsorship that's a problem?
Sponsorship isn’t a problem, I was born in the US. I just generally would like a recognizable name with a better reputation than Infosys on my resume; most of those companies’ offices are in the city, which is about an hour’s drive each way. Definitely doable, but not ideal.
