Remote working for Amazon SA

Does Amazon allows their SA to work from home permanently? I knew one of them who joined couple of years back in Amazon Mumbai but managed to come back to their home location within 6 months of joining (although Amazon doesn't have much footprint in their home location except few SAs working). I heard that Amazon has introduced WFH till next year January. However, do they have any plans of coming up with a Permanent WFH model post Covid19 for certain roles like SA as they mostly need to work with the customer and as far I know they don't need to go to office often. Basically I am planning to apply for the position of SA as I've been working with AWS and Distributed systems for quite a long time. However, due to family obligations I'm unable to relocate at this moment. #engineering #software #solutionarchitect #amazon #aws
