Currently, I am in my last year of my studies. Right know I have had two internships, one for Facebook (sep 2020 - dec 2020) and I have just finished one for Microsoft and I got the FTE offer. In one month I am going to have a return internship for Facebook again. (At the end of that internship I expect to get a FTE offer too) The thing is, I liked both companies, but I slightly prefer more Facebook. Microsoft is only giving two weeks to accept the offer. So I want to be aware of the decisions I am going to take. The safest path is to accept MS Offer, and go to my internship at Facebook, if I get the FTE offer in FB I must renege the MS offer. 1) Are there any problems doing that? 2) What is the process to renege an offer? Just email my recruiter? Since I am going to finish my studies in about a year, signing a contract with MS will just be that, a signature, I guess I will not receive something from them so that if I renege I must "return". Doing this process more complicated. #microsoft #facebook #renege #internship
handle it professionally and you should be good. your school career center could be a hurdle if you got the internship through them. you are nobody to either of them and wont make any difference.
Get your FB offer, ask MS to match. Vote With Your Feet little grasshopper
Don't see why you would go to FB over MS at this point. MS is the FAANG to work for right now unless you're ultrawoke
Lol. The amount of wokeness at Microsoft is very high.
Then you haven't been at FB... 🤣
+1 on the wokeinsanity
I don't get what you mean with wokeinsanity. Sorry English in not my native language lol

Are you comfortable being blocked from MS for the rest of your career?
Isn't it just for about 5 years ?
My whole life career? I don't think that could be the case. Why would they do that? Do you have acquaintances that have happened that to them?
