Reneging for Google

I got an offer at Salesforce for internship and I signed it pretty early on because I had no other offers at the time. Now I got an offer at Google. Should I renege? Or try for big tech next year . Salesforce is a good option longterm so I wouldn't want to burn any bridges ideally. Which is why I'm hesitant to renege Any advice from Salesforce peeps

Internship vs actual job?

In other time I would have said “be grateful and keep your word”, but now I say renege if you want Google, companies have been laying off and rescinding offers, so it doesn’t feel unethical anymore to renege. But you should renege only after you sign and secure Google intership. Google might rescind it otherwise and then you’re screwed.

Literally nobody cares if you renege on an internship. I don’t know for sure but I doubt it will impact your ability to get a new grad offer. By the time you’re senior, it won’t matter at all. I reneged a company and I still get recruiter outreach.

Which one has a higher return offer rate?

Try to see if either of them will push the internship period, you can do 2 different internships back to back.
