Would it be unreasonable for me to renegotiate my offer or should I wait until YE review? I just started a role and I was told the company would fully reimburse me for classes already completed since I am leaving my existing company and have to pay back around 8k in tuition Now that I’m at the company there is an issue with the system and the reimbursement doesn’t fall in line with company policy. I am fighting with employee reimbursement and tuition assistance but if it does not come through what should I do? Would it be reasonable or heard of to renogtiate my offer since I signed with different expectations? This recruiter also told me that if I kept negotiating there was a risk of my offer being rescinded and that if I asked for full remote in my offer even though it had been discussed in my interviews I could risk it being rescinded. My actual manager was very surprised by that @ally #ally
Did you get any of this in writing in your offer letter?
I have it in writing in email but not as part of the official offer, my manager is helping me escalate so fingers crossed
Yea it sounds like the recruiter pulled a fast one on you. Good luck, next time make sure it is in the offer letter.
Many companies don’t negotiate packages after start day. It’s a risky signal other employees would ask for same thing
