Renewing H1B visa stamp in Canada Or Mexico (foreign nationals)
Hello All, In present covid situation it's become extremely difficult to get H1b visa stamping slots in India and to get passport stamped there approved NIE is required (due to active president proclamation/travel ban). Considering current challenges I am exploring options to get passport stamped in Canada or Mexico. Being said that it will be grateful if I can get answer to below questions: 1. Do we need approved NIE to get passport stamped in Canada or Mexico? My understanding is that NIE is required only in countries where travel ban is active to get visa stamp and enter back in USA. 2. Did any foreign passport holder actually got their passport stamped in Canada or Mexico within last 1-2 months? If so can you share your experience and challenges you faced? Appreciate experiences shared from all but mainly looking for experiences shared by individuals without Canadian PR and went to Canada or Mexico on tourist visa. 3. US has a really shitty system of this stamping and nonsense.
Some one help me understand this a little more Covid originated in China ( there was a travel ban initially then it got lifted) things are back to normal Why the fuck they implemented this nut job process NIE for only Indian citizens?
Coz of the recent rise of the Delta variant. Numbers are low in India now, but a lot of US is unvaccinated, infections in US are higher than ever, and Delta is supposed to be the most nefarious of the lot
Don’t need NIE if getting stamped in Canada. Good luck finding an appointment this year though
