Everything seems great with this guy, except basic attraction. What to do? My friends say it’s no big deal
I highly doubt it. It would be a new account now. Since the account number would be new as well. Would be interested to hear otherwise.
How many credit cards do you have? This shouldn’t matter much if you have multiple credit cards with high credit limits but underutilized. I have 13 credit cards with over 95K credit but utilization of about 5%. Now even if I cancel my oldest 13 years old) credit card it hits 2 points to my credit score.
My credit age is just 2 years without that closed card. I have only 3 cards in total, but utilization in below 10% overall. Btw, how do you manage these many cards and isn't applying for these many cards hurt your credit scores?
Have to be disciplined in managing these cards. I use primarily one or two. The others are just there (after I milked them of their cash and intro bonuses) for high credit limit and underutilization ratio. If you apply multiple cards within (I believe) 30 days window it only gets counted as 1 hard inquiry so it doesn’t damage the score as much. Learn more on youtube about how to play against the credit score system so that your score never falls below 750 no matter what.
