Reposting because earlier post only got 18 votes total in polls. Currently working at Intuit as SE 2 in Intuit Bangalore and have got team matched with Google Cloud Data Loss Prevention(DLP) team at Pune location for L4 position. I liked the team charter and the manager. The team is being formed new in Pune as a counterpart of US team. All seems fine except during team call I didn't get any exact numbers for the product revenue but just that DLP is a critical product/service. Also when I asked if there'll be active investment the manager said that - "we are growing as of now, but can't promise there won't be any future workforce reduction. It hasn't happened before but given the current situation it's difficult to predict anything". This seems to me as a red flag because right now Intuit is quite stable. However, I don't like the work here at Intuit. So I'm looking for people who work in Google Cloud and are familiar with Google Cloud DLP team/product to let me know if at all this service has high impact/dependency and revenue so that I can gauge the safety/stability. Please advise and comment your opinion apart from responding on the poll YoE : 3 years TC : 27LPA(Fixed) + 3LPA + 11k Stocks per year #Google #Intuit #gcp
Go to GCP.
What is the offered TC?
Not worth switching at these uncertain times
DLP’s culture seemed good, not too many meetings, interesting work, and unlikely to layoff Was seriously considering this option last month This was for BLR btw
Then why didn't you join? Just double confirming this is GCP DLP team you're talking about right because when I asked they said the position is only available in Pune
Prolly a sister team Well they didn’t pick me :( Quick note: Managers and Senior Engineers were from Amazon
G should be paying twice of your current pay approx at L4 and G is on an average much more safe than Intuit. No brainer
When did you get the offer? I heard there's a hiring freeze for L3/L4 (Male)
I got team matched last Thursday. Will be offered in Jan 23
Can you share your CTC for google beforehand
I think the manager was just being honest about the situation. Not necessarily a red flag.
Run away from intuit, go to google anyday
Yeah on the way. Although Google guys are saying the opposite due to layoffs :P But I guess if time comes, Sasan won't hesitate to cut as well
