If you are worth an L4 at Alexa, then it would benefit you working in industry more than going to a start up. You could find yourself under water pretty quickly with expectations.
What if the expectations could be manageable? Do you still recommend joining Amazon instead?
With a start up changes happen at the drop of a hat. If you are fine with that ambiguity, then you will do well. Typically do better with a bit of structure so if they see a similar pattern they can act accordingly. Without that recall you could become overwhelmed trying to reinvent the wheel a lot of the time.
