I'm looking for a job targeting big techs. Please give me any feedback for this resume. (Decent, not enough to go big techs, bad format, too long, too short, hard to read, need more emphasize... etc) Thanks.
Need python or C++. Limiting yourself with only Java. Since resume is short, add a few projects too
What did you do from 2016 to 2020?
Was hardware engineer back then. Will it be better to write these briefly?
I think it might be better to add those very briefly as you already have many points that you can potentially cut from the three jobs and there seems to be a few blank lines at the bottom too. (Unless you really need all these points that you currently have.)
This may sound unimportant but as an engineering manager who reads ~100 resumes a week I’d say: fix the line length. https://www.uxnews.co/16743598/readability-the-optimal-line-length#/ You want your reader to understand what you’re trying to tell them. As is, it’s very difficult to read the details of what you’ve written. Maybe your reader will dig deeper regardless, but maybe they’ll put you directly into the “too hard” basket.
There's some stuff without tangible impact that you just "did" - the question then is why would the HM care that you did it? This might help you drop some lines
Noticed that too. One of the bullets points includes "and made improvements". That doesn't really say anything
You had two jobs from 2020 to 2023? Is the top one your startup?
Oh it's my mistake. First company starts from 2023
Oh ok no worries! Why trying to switch so soon? Also, is your current company big or known? Or the ones before? Recruiters are biased about that.
