What are your views about box as a company ?? How is it doing ??? I have been offered a software engineer role here.... The compensation that they are offering is 140base, 90k stocks over 3 years and 10k joining ... I have about 3 years of work experience with a masters degree .... Should I negotiate my compensation if yes by how much ?? Can someone please help
Congrates OP. I suggest negotiate. Even though I have no idea what is the current range for software engineer role, but I know some new grad joined one year ago getting roughly same comp as you (partially due to the stock price going up).
I myself joined as Software Eng a few days before IPO and I am a Senior now. So the situation is different. Box is an excellent company with great culture ! And Cyw is right, Levie is nuts but you will like him.
Mind sharing your TC?
Guys, I’m interviewing for the solutions architect position at box. 5+ years of experience. Any thoughts on compensation ? How much should I ask
Always negotiate. I worked at Box and have great things to say about it, but I was in another org. I will say that people are genuinely nice, smart, and well taken care of. The company has been one of the most misunderstood companies in the Valley, but it's actually doing very well. Levie is nuts (usually in a good way), but he's the real deal.
