link-> https://leetcode.com/discuss/interview-experience/1476594/amazon-sde-2-hyderabad-india-arrogant-bar-raiser-on-third-round [Posting here also. (I'm not OP)] I had a bad experience with Amazon India recently (August 2021). No one would believe that the engineering manager in a bar-raiser round would pass me such comments! "You're awful that you dont have followup questions!!" (this comment within 2 minutes from the commence of interview! ) "Please put your idea in dustbin"!! Please dont waste time (in multiple times during the interview) Interview started up saying: "If you wanted to refresh/need to go to toilet, do it now, dont want to waste time later" --> Someone would argue, but this will only put more stress to the candidate. I said him: I'm okay, we can continue. And then another show-off stuff by saying: "I have dozens of screens in front me where in one screen I have your resume, on the other screen the meeting window, and on the other screen I'm reviewing the invision document, bla bla.." --> Why do we need to know all these? Just ask the question and move on?? And here is what happened: He want me to draw the application architecture: I started discussing the important aspects such as scalability, requirements, performance etc. He dont want to hear any of those, He just want that diagram with API interactions. It is like he want me to discuss, but he shut my mouth early. Can't explain how it feels. He asked for API details, and I started writing API definitions. When I show API deifnitions and start-off my discussion, he immediately dismiss the discussion by saying, "I want APIs and by showing me a diagram on his paper". Well, API is not a diagram and I dont need 15+ years of exp to understand it! He should be able to clearly distiniguish what is what: if he want me to focus on microservices and their interactions or writing API definitions. He was not giving me a chance at all: He mocks me if I ask anything, otherwise I'm being blamed for not asking anything! He was laughing around seeing his whatsapp messages while I was making my efforts to answer him. For the behavioral questions, I mentioned my experience, and also mentioned that I'm an author of a book (to explain a scenario). I was calm and answering his question in the best possible way as I can. He was just dismissing the conversation in regular intervals with no respect or value. Seems like this guy has a lot of ego issues and can't be a bar raiser! A bar raiser is someone who find both positives and negatives in a person, not negatives alone! #tech #AmazonIndia
You should just copy this post and send it as a mail to HR. Don't do it in a call, it has to be in writing
Mail the same thing to the HR. No matter how good you are, you can't talk to folks like this. Sometimes I think, maybe they should add basic human values to their LPs too ๐
Email to HR and copy all of these fuckers.
Does emailing HR work? Sounds like every rejected candidate going to start having a sissy fit about how โmeanโ interview was if it does ๐ This guy was likely tested on have backbone; disagree and commit and failed.
What else can you expect from Amazon. It encourages and rewards this kind of behaviour.
Lol
